I just returned from an amazing birthday celebration in NYC! The highlight was seeing Hell's Kitchen on Broadway. The show features music by Alicia Keys and is loosely based on her own experiences growing up in New York City. Amazing!

November is Native American Heritage Month

We're creating a curated collection of resources for teaching kids about the rich heritage, diverse cultures, and important contributions of Indigenous peoples of the North American continent.

Our goal is to support educators in providing more inclusive and accurate representation in their classrooms while inspiring young learners to explore and appreciate the depth of Native American history, traditions, and stories.

November 1 & 2: DΓ­a de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Explore the traditions of Dia de los Muertos, a joyous holiday celebrating the lives of deceased loved ones. Watch an informational video, read engaging books, create calavera puppets and more!

November 7: Outdoor Classroom Day is a fantastic opportunity for students to connect with nature, learn hands-on skills, and take a break from the traditional classroom setting.


November 13: World Kindness Day Browse books with activity guides, free printable activities (including a kindness pledge and challenge), kindness rocks, and more!


November 15: Shichi Go San (7-5-3 in Japanese) Learn about this unique birthday festival for young children and make a Chitose-ame (Thousand-year) candy bag.


November 18-22: Geography Awareness Week Whether you're locating famous landmarks, exploring new games from around the world, or diving into geographical skills, this is the perfect week to inspire a love for geography.
