As a former competitive swimmer (any fellow distance freestylers out there?), I love the Summer Games. And as a parent and educator, I think they are a great way to engage kids in educational, physical and social activities. The country's rich history includes the mighty Mongol Empire, led by Genghis Khan, who conquered much of Asia and Europe in the 13th century.
